Partners

Transitional Training Services has partnered with Kennedy-King College at DawsonTechnical Institute to provide superior services that go beyond the basic instructional programs. These core partnerships were established to provide our clients with educational services through facilities considered, “state of the art”. TTS has also expanded its partnership base to include Unity & Parenting Counseling, who provides the quality of family counseling that is aligned with our philosophy and goals. Other partnerships consist of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Unity Parenting & Counseling and S.O.N. Foundation and this list is currently expanding to meet current and future demand for additional services. These additional services will include immediate job readiness placement, continuing education, and entrepreneurialship.

Employers

TTS's Employment Services Division considers the need of employers who hire employment-ready clients from our program. Our philosophy is that our services must create a win-win situation for both the employer and the client. To achieve that, employers avoid incurring training expenses, hiring expenses, and other human resources expenses for services that are provided by our employment services.

Another value to employers is TTS’s focus on meeting the employer’s business objectives and needs. This is accomplished through the careful pre-screening of specific skill sets of those workers provided by TTS’s Employment Specialists. This support and additional support is available to employers by our employment services division after a worker receives job placement.

TTS benefits the employer, by providing newly skilled and qualified personnel, along with a range of support services at no charge.

  • Pre-Screening Services
  • Drug Testing
  • Post-Placement Support
  • Bonding
  • Work Opportunity Tax Credit

TTS base the success of its employment services by the number of successful job placements and the employment duration of those job placements. Our methods of measuring the effectiveness of our program extend beyond our doors as we continue to monitor how well our clients adjust to the demands of living a productive and responsible lifestyle after receiving our services.

Funders

Without the support of its funders the work that TTS does would not be possible. TTS depends on the generosity of individuals, foundations and government agencies to recognize the benefits to clients and the broader community.

TTS does not charge its clients for services.  Persons with addictions or criminal records do not normally have the resources to pay for the kind of services we provide, especially at critical times when these services become needed the most.  Also, TTS does not want to impose additional financial barriers on the many disadvantaged people who are determined to change their lives for the better.

Philosophically, TTS is committed to bridging more relationships between private and public entities because we firmly believe that the collaborative effort for progress should be a public and private issue.  Since more than 97% of the incarcerated are returned to the communities that support businesses, the public and private employment sectors should responsibly support these communities in their efforts to promote public safety by participating in programs designed to employ those in the community.

We are all stakeholders in society –private and public.  Therefore, TTS shall provide support to those in need of assistance in an attempt to reduce the threat of recidivism and many other social issues that affect public and private safety.
